Ditch the paper.
Keep the ritual.
Every tenth one is still on the house. The card just lives in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet now — so it is never lost, never left at home, and never needs reprinting.
- Nothing to install
- Nothing to sign up for
- Apple and Google Wallet
An example card for a bakery called Sesam.
How it works
Three moments, and not one of them is a download.
The whole thing has to work for someone holding a coffee in one hand, with a queue behind them.
-
1
Scan the code on the counter
The phone camera opens a web page. No app store, no account, no password, nothing to type.
-
2
Save it to the wallet
One tap puts it in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, beside the boarding passes and tickets already there.
-
3
Show it to be stamped
Staff scan the customer's code from any phone. The new count is on their card before they have put the phone back in their pocket.
In the wallet
The card updates itself.
Saved once, and right ever after. No reinstall, no fresh link, no browser tab to keep alive — and it is somewhere you can actually reach the customer again.
Apple Wallet
One tap puts it beside the boarding passes. After a stamp the new count appears on the card on its own, and the customer sees it on their lock screen without opening anything.
Google Wallet
The same single tap on Android, straight from the browser. The count on the card they already saved goes up by itself — never a second card, never a stale one.
A message on their phone
Closed Monday. New beans in. Write one line and it arrives as a notification on every phone holding your card, iPhone and Android alike, and stays readable on the card afterwards. It is the part a paper card could never do — and you never asked anyone for an email address to get it.
At the counter
Runs on the phone that is already at the till.
No terminal to buy, no tablet to mount, no staff training beyond pointing a camera at a code.
A scanner in the browser
Staff open one page and point the camera at the customer's code. It runs on whatever phone is nearest, signed in once and left that way.
Your colours on the card
Name, icon, colours, how many stamps earn the reward and what the reward is. The card in the wallet looks like your shop, not like ours.
One line to everyone
Type a sentence, send it, and it reaches every card you have ever issued as a notification. Two hundred characters, from the same phone you stamp with. No mailing list to build first.
Questions
The ones that come up first.
Does my customer have to install anything?
No. The camera opens a web page, one tap saves the card to the wallet that shipped with the phone, and the page is done. There is no Loyalty app, on their side or yours.
What do they have to hand over?
Nothing. No name, no email address, no phone number, no account. A card is a random number with a count attached, which is all a stamp card ever was. The detail is in the privacy policy.
What about a customer on Android?
The same page offers Google Wallet instead, and leads with whichever platform the phone is on. Both get a card that updates in place after a stamp.
What happens when a customer fills a card?
The count goes back to zero and the card shows the reward waiting to be claimed — same card, still in the wallet, nothing to reissue. The reward is whatever you write: a drink on the house, 10% off, whatever fits your shop.
Can I change how the card looks?
Yes — background colour, stamp colour, reward text, banner and logo, all from your dashboard. The change reaches the cards people are already holding, with nothing for them to do.
How does a message reach my customers?
You write up to 200 characters on the staff page and send it. Everyone holding one of your cards gets a notification on their phone, and the message stays on the card to be read again. There is no email address or phone number involved — the card itself is the channel, so a customer who removes it from their wallet has unsubscribed.
Can somebody stamp their own card?
No. Stamping happens from the staff page, which is behind your own sign-in. The customer's card only ever shows a code to be scanned.
Put the card where the phone already is.
Open a live card in your own wallet and see the whole thing from the customer's side — it takes about fifteen seconds.
